We have a Bengal Way Call of the day!! It's been awhile but worth the wait, congratulations Hannah!! Hannah showed Acceptance and Leadership as she explained to another student what Genius and me was all about. She explained all the needed information kindly and was extremely helpful! Way to go Hannah!
Congratulations to Maddie Larson and Abram Stratton for being selected as the 2022-2023 KSHSAA Citizenship Award winners!!
Way to go Drew Hoffman on getting a new school record for the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 15.98!!!
We have our last but far from least Bengal Spotlight Featured Department today! It is our amazing Administration Staff! Keith and Travis work very hard to keep everything at CCCMS running smoothly, between discipline issues, sporting events, staff issues, and the general running of day-to-day functions they are always working on something and we could not be more grateful to have them at CCCMS.
Keith Hoffman has worked at CCCMS since 2007. He has been married to Kate for 24 years. They have four children. Mark is a senior, Brett is a sophomore, Drew is an 8th-grader, and Laura is in 4th grade. In his spare time, I enjoy watching the Andy Griffith Show and going on long runs with his dogs Sadie and Ranger. He is thankful for the opportunity to work with the students, staff, and families on a daily basis.
Travis Smith is in his sixth year teaching at USD 379. He has taught at Lincoln Elementary the entire time. He has only been at the middle school for three years as an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director. He is also the Head High School Boys' Basketball Coach. His wife’s name is Kari, they have been married for 13 years and have three children. He loves working outside, hunting, fishing, working cattle, and riding horses. He loves working and playing with his kids.
Thanks for all you do for CCCMS Keith and Travis!
Tonight’s 5th-12th grade band concert has been moved up to a 6pm start due to potential storms later in the evening. Band students need to report at 5:30.
Thank you
Today's Bengal Spotlight Featured department is our School Nurse!! National School Nurses Day is observed every year on the Wednesday of National Nurses Week and we are extremely thankful for our wonderful school nurse Suzanne Ahlberg! Suzanne has been with USD 379 for 5 ½ years. Previously she worked in a hospital setting as a staff/surgical/L&D nurse, Nursing Director, and Clinic Nurse and in a long-term care setting. She truly enjoys working with students in an educational setting. She and her husband, Dick have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. Her favorite things are spending time with her family, reading, traveling, and being outside. We know that our kids are safe in school because they have a school nurse like you to take care of them. Happy School Nurses Day Suzanne thank you for all you do!
USD 379 is no longer sheltering. All Clear.
Good Luck to our Bengal Track Athletes attending NCKL today!! Hope the storms hold off so they can Run, Throw, and Jump one last time this season!
