Here’s some pictures of Ms. McClure's social studies classes celebrating Kansas
Day! They made Kansas from a graham cracker, frosting, and blue
raspberry sour stripes, a Smartie to mark Topeka, and then enjoyed
some Kansas Trivia!

Today's Bengal Spotlight Featured Team is our Lady Wrestlers!! This is the first ever CCCMS Lady Bengal Wrestling team and we could not be more proud of these girls!! They are coached by Alisha Brownell, Craig Rickley, and James Gordon. They continue to improve daily and are a blast to watch! If you haven't had the privilege to catch them in action yet you have another chance today as they head to Marysville!

Good luck today Lady Bengals!!!

Today's Bengal Spotlight Featured Department is our Social Studies Department! We are extremely lucky to have three amazing Social Studies teachers at CCCMS.
Patrick Taylor is in his second year at CCCMS, also his second year of teaching. He grew up in Manhattan and went to K-State. So far, he has enjoyed teaching and says it has been very rewarding. History has been his favorite subject for as long as he can remember!
Halle McClure is in her second year teaching social studies at CCCMS and teaching. She grew up in Lindsborg, Kansas and went to Bethany College (rockar stockar!) She’s loved the Clay Center community, and has enjoyed coaching 7th grade volleyball for the last two years! She loves traveling, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
JD Lane is in year 33 of teaching middle school Social Studies, with 22 of those being at McKinley/CCCMS. He enjoys reading, golf, spending time with family, and traveling. He also coaches football and track at CCCHS.

Mrs. Bauer's 6th grade FACS students with the felt monsters that they designed and hand sewed! Amazing project!

Good Luck Lady Bengals!

Today's Bengal Spotlight Featured PAWS is Mr. Kelly's PAWS. Early risers. Morning people. Wide awake. These are all improper descriptions of PAWS students in Mr. Kelly’s class. Instead, the students are often reading emails, watching a brief SEL video, checking grades, and even some last-minute schoolwork. We’re not the high energy, Red Bull drinking, PAWS challenge fanatics of CCCMS. However, if you’re looking for a quiet place to gather your thoughts with peaceful music and wafts of fresh brewed coffee, this is the place to be each morning.

Congratulations to the Bengal students who participated in today's Spelling Bee! Everyone did amazing and the Spelling Bee lasted 20 rounds! William Lira out-spelled all other Bengal spellers! Way to go William! The top 9 will be representing CCCMS at the District Spelling Bee.

Good Luck on the road today Bengals! #bengalstrong

History is being made today in Chapman!! As the first-ever CCCMS 7th and 8th Grade Girls Wrestling team hit the mats!! Good Luck, show them how strong Lady Bengals are! #bengalstrong

Today's Bengal Spotlight Featured Team is the 8th Grade Boys Basketball team! These boys have had a great season with a tough loss last night to Rock Creek. Despite that, they are ready to bounce back and take on Marysville this Thursday. The team is coached by Mike Adams and Kraig Brockman with a 2-2 record. Continue to play with your heart boys! #bengalstrong

Parent Project classes are starting again this month! Classes meet weekly for 10 weeks over Zoom. Contact Lisa Last (lisalast@usd379.org) to sign up! #usd379

Catch our boys back in action tonight at home! Good Luck Bengals!

WAY TO GO BENGALS!!! Here are the students who received a Bengal PAWS card and those on the Honor Roll for the 2nd Quarter. Also photographed are the seven students with Perfect Attendance (no tardies no absences) for the second semester! Keep up the amazing work Bengals!

Today's Bengal Spotlight Featured PAWS is Mr. Rickley's PAWS! They are a great group who enjoy taking on the other PAWS classes in challenges and spending the mornings joking with Mr. Rickley!

Reminder there will be no school Monday, January 16th.
