The CCCHS FFA would like to extend a special invitation to attend their SAE Showcase. FFA members have worked to prepare short presentations on their Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE)/Work Based Learning (WBL) projects and the impacts they will have on their future career aspirations. They will have a come-and-go event in the Ag Shop on Monday, February 24th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Please see the attached invitation for more details. Please RSVP so we can have enough food available by Wednesday, February 19th.

January is School Board Appreciation Month. Thank you, Jason Bergsten, for your commitment to USD 379 and our kids!

The USD 379 Bus Barn has started a bus behavior campaign for the second semester. Each driver nominates a regular rider who exemplifies good behavior and shows respect for both the driver and the other passengers. All nominees were put in a hat, and one name was drawn as January's winner. That student is Bristol from Wakefield Elementary! Her driver is Maurice Sharp. Bristol received gift certificates donated by Short Stop and Ray's Apple Market.

This is a great opportunity to receive assistance for groceries during the summer months. Applications opened yesterday. This is a one-time benefit of $120 per year per child and could be a great resource for families while school is out. You can also learn more at SUNBucks.dcf.ks.gov.

Thanks to the CCCHS Tiger Chorale and Garfield 4th graders for helping the USD 379 Bus Barn make a music video celebrating good behavior on our buses!
