Congratulations to Mr. Hoffman who was selected as Kansas School Counselor Principal advocate of the year. Each year KSCA selects three administrators in the state to receive the award. Mr. Hoffman was the only secondary principal in the state to receive the award this year. A principal advocate is one who advocates, supports, and collaborates with his or her school counselor. Principals are awarded based on the following: Supports specific school counseling professional development, addresses and applies data collection, demonstrates actions towards a safe and positive school climate, and embraces school counseling initiatives. Mr. Hoffman was nominated by Mr. Brummet. Dr. Lyndsey Brown, the current president of the Kansas School Counselor Association, and past USD 379 counselor presented the award. Thank you Mr. Hoffman for your support of the CCCMS School Counseling program!

We held our first Discovery Kitchens at Lincoln, Wakefield and the high school last week and everyone had a blast. Depending on the location, kids were able to try samples of breakfast parfaits or a Cuban Pork Sandwich, both made by Chef Jay, & both delicious! #usd379
